With a success rate of more than 90% of Juma youth entering college, Juma Ventures offers a powerful return on investment for donors. Juma's award-winning youth development program aims to break the cycle of poverty by ensuring that young people complete a four-year college education. Founded in 1993, Juma is committed to empowering disadvantaged youth from low-income backgrounds to make successful transitions to independence in adulthood. We accomplish this through an innovative program that integrates employment in social enterprises, college preparation and financial education. This program provides the foundation for youth to transcend challenging circumstances and break the cycle of poverty – fulfilling their inherent potential to positively impact their communities.

Donor support is critical to sustain and grow this highly effective program. While Juma's social enterprise businesses at sporting venues provide about half the funds needed to operate Juma's program, the other half comes from generous foundations, corporations and individuals who see the value in Juma's work and want to participate in supporting it.

As an individual, you can make a donation, attend or sponsor our annual fundraising event, join our mailing list for updates, or volunteer your time in a variety of ways.

Foundations, corporations, and other organizations can get involved as investors in our work, as well. There are also opportunities to sponsor our annual fundraising event, present career tours for Juma youth, provide entry-level career opportunities for Juma youth upon graduation, donate pro bono services, volunteer for special events, and participate in a variety of other ways.

Turning Dollars Into Change

•	$50 will provide a healthy dinner for Juma youth participating in an after-school workshop
•	$100 funds the participation of 1 youth in Juma's College Tour
•	$250 prepares a young person for on-the-job success with a comprehensive pre-employment orientation and training program
•	$1,000 provides a matching incentive for a youth savings account to fund college costs upon high school graduation
•	$5,000 funds the cost of 1 youth to benefit from Juma's full program and case management services for one year

Join the Graduate Circle

We are pleased to honor donors making gifts of $1,000 and above as members of Juma’s Graduate Circle. Members of the Graduate Circle join an uncommon group of people with a common vision, dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty for young people through the life-changing power of education. Donor gifts at this level offer an important endorsement of Juma's service to the community, and we are most grateful for this important support.

Donors making gifts of $1,000 and above from the period of January 1 through December 31 each year receive these benefits:

•	Complimentary seating for 2 at annual Friends of Juma fundraising event including name listed in program
•	Name listed in Annual Report among leadership donors
•	Invitation to support annual Field of Dreams fundraising celebration at AT&T Park
•	Quarterly Funder Update from the CEO

Bequests and Planned Gifts

Planned gifts are a thoughtful way to make a significant impact on Juma Ventures' ability to help low-income youth realize their college education. When you include Juma in your financial or estate plan, you are helping to provide an education for low-income students in your community. Planned gifts are not just for the wealthy. You can include a gift of any size in your will or your living trust. Or, you might consider a different type of trust called a Charitable Remainder Trust that provides you with an income during your lifetime and has the added benefit of helping to avoid capital gains taxes when you sell appreciated real estate, stock or other assets. Some donors find that a planned gift allows them to make a larger commitment to Juma than if they were making an outright gift of cash. Donor Privacy Policy

Juma Ventures is committed to respecting the privacy of our donors. Juma provides this privacy policy to make donors aware of our policy and to inform donors as to how personal information is used.

Juma collects and uses donor information, such as name, address, phone number, and email address, when a donor voluntarily provides it to us. Juma Ventures keeps a record of each donor's giving history and uses this information to understand donor needs and interests and to provide donors with better service. Use of donor information is limited to the above and to the internal purposes of Juma Ventures for furthering the stated mission and programs of the agency.

Specifically, we use donor information to help donors to complete a secure donation transaction and to provide communication and updates on Juma’s youth development programs. In addition to utilizing SSL encryption for all transactions, Juma stores information on isolated network servers, kept in a physically secure environment with strict policies that minimize staff access to the stored information. Credit card numbers are used only for donation or payment processing and are not retained by Juma.

Juma Ventures will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to other organizations. Routinely, donor names are published in lists to recognize donor support. However, we respect anonymity, should a supporter prefer not to be listed as a Juma donor. We provide donors with the opportunity to remove their name from our mailing list if desired, as it is not our wish to send unwanted mail to our donors. Please contact us if you wish to be fully or partially removed from our mailing list.
