April 2008 January 2008 November 2007 Juma Ventures’ innovative program has received significant media attention since our inception. In general, the theme of this coverage has been to highlight the uniqueness and effectiveness of Juma’s integrated model of jobs and program services for youth, and to present Juma’s approach as an example for other nonprofit organizations to learn from as they consider and develop their own social enterprises and youth programming. Juma authors Social Enterprise 2.0In the Summer 2006 issue of the Stanford Social Innovation Review, Juma's Executive Director authored an article entitled Social Enterprise 2.0 Should Nonprofits Seek Profits?In a Harvard Business Review article entitled ‘Should Nonprofits Seek Profits’, Juma was highlighted as one of two nonprofit organizations in the US who are successfully operating businesses as a vehicle for their nonprofit mission.
